Abstract
The Handbook itself is an example of a public-private partnership between the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Committee for Economic Development (CED), an independent, non-profit research organization. This handbook describes the essential elements of a public-private partnership, explains the costs and benefits, and provides practical steps for initiating or joining a successful public-private partnership.
