Abstract
The AJA aims to improve access to justice for Colombians, particularly in rural areas. The program focuses on strengthening local justice systems and promoting alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The AJA works closely with the Ministry of Justice and Law (MJL) and the High Council for the Post-Conflict (ACPC) to consolidate the process of creating and strengthening local justice committees (LJC) and local justice systems (LJS). The program also collaborates with other stakeholders, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community groups, to promote access to justice and support the implementation of the peace agreement. One of the key achievements of the AJA is the establishment of 29 special zones and camps for demobilized guerrilla troops in 15 departments. The AJA is working in seven of these municipalities, providing support to the local justice committees and promoting alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The AJA has also made significant progress in promoting access to justice for women and vulnerable populations. The program has worked with the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to develop policies and procedures related to gender-based violence (GBV), and has provided training and support to prosecutors and judges on GBV cases. In addition, the AJA has supported the implementation of the peace agreement by working with the MJL and ACPC to establish a framework for the consolidation of local justice systems and the promotion of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The program has also provided support to the creation of local justice committees and the development of community-based justice initiatives. The AJA has also made progress in promoting access to justice for rural communities. The program has worked with community groups and NGOs to establish community-based justice initiatives and promote alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The AJA has also provided support to the development of local justice systems and the promotion of access to justice for rural communities. The AJA has also supported the development of a comprehensive plan for the implementation of the peace agreement. The plan includes a framework for the consolidation of local justice systems and the promotion of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The plan also includes a timeline for the implementation of the peace agreement and a budget for the program. The AJA has also made progress in promoting access to justice for victims of violence. The program has worked with the National Unit for the Comprehensive Assistance and Reparation of Victims (UARIV) to develop policies and procedures related to victim assistance and reparations. The AJA has also provided support to the development of community-based justice initiatives and the promotion of access to justice for victims of violence. Overall, the AJA has made significant progress in promoting access to justice for Colombians, particularly in rural areas. The program has worked closely with stakeholders to establish a framework for the consolidation of local justice systems and the promotion of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The AJA has also supported the implementation of the peace agreement and promoted access to justice for women and vulnerable populations.
