RURAL OFF-FARM EMPLOYMENT ASSESSMENT

Evaluation consists of a PES facesheet attached to an annual report (PD-AAG-574-C1) and covers the period 9/79-10/80. The following recommendations made by the team conducting the annual evaluation are proposed for further consideration: (1) establishing priorities for the remainder of the studies scheduled under the project; (2) engaging consultants with varied backgrounds; (3) including qualitative questions in the surveys; (4) making survey sampling methods more representative; and (5) upgrading researchers" salaries to attract higher-quality staff.
