SGDP Monthly Drilling Operations Progress Report

The project's primary objective is to develop the Juma-Bashikurd gas field in Jawjzan Province. Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) was awarded a contract on December 14, 2013, to drill one new well, Juma 2A, and re-enter two wells, Bashikurd 3 and 9. The contract is funded jointly by USAID and MoMP, with a projected end date of April 30, 2015. The Sheberghan Gas Generation Activity (SGGA) is responsible for monitoring SGDP progress as USAID's implementing partner. This report is required under SGGA Modification 3, Deliverable 24, which mandates a monthly report on progress and Quality Assurance/Quality Control of drilling operations, data collection, and contract completion of the gas wells. During the reporting period of April 1-30, 2014, TPAO made progress on the project. Road work in progress is evident, with a road resistance test conducted to ensure the stability of the road. Inspection of Bashikurd Well #9 was also conducted, and a technical water reservoir near Bashikurd Well #1 was identified. The project schedule and financial milestones are critical components of the SGDP. Key contract dates and estimated completion are outlined in Table 11, which indicates that the project is on track to meet its deadline. TPAO's well status is also reported, with updates on the technical status of the wells. The project's drilling contract value and funding allocation are outlined in Table 14, which shows that the project is receiving the necessary funding to proceed. Implementation Letter (IL) 45-01, dated May 29, 2012, provides the framework for the project's implementation. The IL outlines the project's objectives, scope, and timeline, and serves as a guide for the project's implementation. The IL also specifies the roles and responsibilities of the various stakeholders involved in the project. The project's drilling operations summary is provided in Section 4 of the report. TPAO's contract performance schedule is outlined, which indicates that the company is making progress on the project. The well sequence is also reported, which shows that TPAO is on track to complete the drilling operations. Despite continuing problems, progress was made during the reporting period, and the project is expected to meet its deadline.
