Abstract
An effort is made to show to what extent AID-supported agricultural credit programs were linked to the cooperative and credit union movements and to what extent they were oriented toward small farmers. Using the incomplete records available for study, several persons helped Ted Rice, the Spring Review Study Director, prepare historical summaries of technical and capital assistance in each of forty-two countries. Rice then prepared a summary of the summaries. The volume includes both the background papers and Rice"s summary.
