Abstract
The assessment has been analyzed, and District Governors will receive Strategic Planning, Management, Public Outreach, and Service Delivering trainings based on the assessment findings. In Farah Province, ten members of the Jan Khani Massow Community Development Committee (CDC) in Pusht-e Rod District received Advocacy and Concept Note training on January 19th. The CDC drafted a concept note for the canal excavation project, and further support will be provided to submit the concept note to third-party organizations. Media training was also provided to 20 members of the Pusht-e Rod Farmers' Association on January 19th, covering topics such as communication, interview techniques, and writing a press release. In Badghis Province, the Muqur District residents had the opportunity to meet with high-ranking provincial authorities on January 19th. The Provincial Director of Education delivered speeches about the importance of education and peace in the community, and Ulema's representatives pledged to provide necessary support for the Education Department. The Director of the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock (DAIL) talked about the protection of forest and natural resources and pledged to provide improved seeds for farmers. In Herat Province, the Shindand District Governor organized a meeting with 50 female teachers on January 20th, where they shared their concerns, including insecurity and lack of drinking water. The District Governor will coordinate with security forces to find a solution and provide security, and coordination and lobbying will be done with relevant organizations to provide drinking water for schools. A Concept Note training was also provided to the Mahal Shahi CDC in Pashtun Zarghun District on January 20th, enabling the CDC to write a concept note for the school equipment project and submit it to third-party organizations for funding. The SIKA-West program is implementing various projects and activities in the target districts, including labor-intensive rehabilitation grants, vocational training courses, and community development projects. The program aims to improve stability and security in the region by supporting local communities and promoting economic development.
