Grant is provided to South Africa"s Inkatha Freedom Party to support its Action Group for Democracy, to enable it to engage more effectively in the process of negotiating a new nonracial, democratic government in South Africa, based on universal suffrage.

Abstract
To achieve this purpose, grant funds will be used to procure information processing and telecommunications equipment and equipment for publication and distribution of pamphlets, as well as for renting or leasing office space, and for human resource development and training.
