Abstract
PES, consisting of a facesheet, covers the period 1/82-6/83 and is based on an attached special evaluation (XD-AAP-088-A). The special evaluation concludes that the community-based distribution program is beginning to take hold. New acceptors had doubled during each of the past two quarters. The evaluation recommends that the termination date (8/31/83) be extended for at least six months at no additional cost. Extension until 3/84 was approved. The evaluation also made a number of specific recommendations with respect to improved implementation. Actions that were deemed feasible in light of funding and other related constraints have been carried out.
