Abstract
Most USAID/Namibia funded projects and activities are being implemented within the framework of PEPFAR, which provides support primarily to the Government of the Republic of Namibia (GRN) and households that have been infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. Programming in environment, democratic governance, and education have diminished or ended. However, given the level of USG inter-agency collaboration, this assessment provides analytical insights into all the sectors in which USAID/Namibia has worked and is working. The intent is to review past activities, assess gender integration issues for other USG agencies and stakeholders that are continuing to provide services in these sectors, and provide a basis for the Mission to develop its CDCS. Particular attention is given to health, especially PEPFAR initiatives. (Excerpt)
