Abstract
One of the projects under SUPER is focused on building capacity of the Caribbean energy sector to improve cybersecurity awareness, posture, and preparedness to combat the rising threat of cyberattacks. Deloitte, as the implementer, engages national and regional stakeholders to understand pressing issues, design assistance, and plan projects to enhance resilience of counterpart organizations. Leading Practice Material Development is a key component of the SUPER Program, which can help create strategy guides and resources for building cyber resilience. The program also provides tools and training to help utilities identify and implement low-cost or no-cost cybersecurity tools that improve their cybersecurity posture while recognizing budgetary and human capital limitations. SUPER has facilitated various learning opportunities, including webinars, virtual and in-person workshops, a two-day forum, and sessions at CAREC Conferences, to promote learning and facilitate connections. Cybersecurity Assessments are a critical component of the SUPER Program, which builds the cybersecurity capacity of utilities through assessments with leading tools, such as the US Department of Energy's (DOE) DERCF tool. The program works with utilities to develop activities and plans that will help them create cybersecurity strategies both in response to and outside of the assessments. Capacity Building for the Workforce is also a key focus area, with SUPER developing and delivering trainings on topics such as cyber hygiene and critical infrastructure at the executive, management, or front-line employee level. The SUPER team partners with power sector organizations to accomplish cybersecurity goals and achieve cybersecurity readiness levels. Targeted Assistance for [Counterpart Name] is a specific initiative that will be delivered between a specified date and another specified date. The program includes several activities, including an Introduction, Incident Response Tabletop Exercise, Achieving MIL1 Status and a Plan to Enhance Technical Controls, Cybersecurity Resilience Review (CRR) and Risk Register Workshop Series, Cyber Hygiene Training, and Additional Policy Development. These activities aim to enhance the cybersecurity posture and preparedness of the counterpart organization.
