Abstract
The initiative also aimed to address conflict and promote resilience in the region. Conflict in the region was identified as a major challenge, with various causes including land disputes, resource competition, and ethnic tensions. The initiative sought to address these conflicts through a combination of community-based conflict resolution mechanisms and support for local institutions. Community feedback and participation were key components of the initiative, with a focus on empowering local actors to manage and resolve conflicts. Implementation of the initiative involved a range of activities, including farmer training, infrastructure development, and market linkage facilitation. The initiative also supported the development of local institutions and conflict resolution mechanisms, with a focus on promoting community-based approaches to conflict management. Women's participation and empowerment were key components of the initiative, with a focus on promoting their involvement in decision-making and conflict resolution processes. The initiative's impact was evaluated through a range of indicators, including household income, food security, and conflict levels. The results showed significant improvements in household income and food security, as well as a reduction in conflict levels. The initiative's approach to conflict management and community empowerment was seen as a key factor in its success, with a focus on promoting local ownership and participation.
