OPG to Community Development Foundation (CDF) to promote self-help community development among 77,000 former Arab refugees who will soon be residents of new housing developments in Gaza Strip.

Abstract

Project activities will probably include: cooperative stores; community centers; day care centers; home economics training; income-producing projects such as fruit trees and small animal husbandry; and revolving funds for small business loans. Amendment of 8/12/80 provides additional funding for 16 subprojects, to be implemented on the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip in cooperation with Save the Children Federation, including assistance to local charitable organizations, village councils, and agricultural cooperatives through partial funding of equipment to be used for development activities.
