Behavior Change Case Study: Ocean Plastic Pollution in Vietnam

It examines how two grantees of the USAID's Municipal Waste Recycling Program (MWRP) addressed plastic pollution through behavior change tactics and elevates lessons for future policies and programs. The study highlights key takeaways, including the importance of civil society actors, local government support, and recycling incentives and systems. It also provides recommendations for USAID, including supporting policy frameworks, empowering women workers and leaders in the solid waste management (SWM) sector, and building the advocacy capacity of local civil society organizations.
