Initial Solid Waste Management Assessment Report for Clean Cities, Blue Ocean Program in Sri Lanka and Maldives

The report provides an overview of the current state of solid waste management in both countries, including the existing laws and regulations, waste generation rates, waste management infrastructure, and challenges faced by the sector. The report also presents the objectives and methodology of the CCBO program, which aims to promote sustainable waste management practices, reduce marine plastic pollution, and support the livelihoods of waste workers, particularly women.
