USAID Environmental and Natural Resource Management Framework

The framework aims to promote sustainable development, self-reliance, and resilience in partner countries by addressing environmental and natural resource management challenges. It highlights the importance of integrating environmental considerations into development programming and identifies two priority areas: improving natural resource management for self-reliance and improving urban systems for a cleaner environment and enhanced human well-being. The framework also outlines key principles and approaches for effective implementation, including strong and inclusive governance, innovative partnerships and financing, and cross-cutting programmatic approaches.
