CRIISTA User Guide for COVID-19 Vaccination System Transferability Assessment

The guide is designed to facilitate a systematic process of collecting and examining evidence to inform decisions about scaling up a COVID-19 vaccination information system (SIV) for routine vaccination. The guide is intended for decision-makers, program managers, and technical partners working with or for the Ministry of Health, the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), or the Health Information System (HIS). The guide provides an overview of the CRIISTA framework, which includes five thematic areas: context, functionality, technology, users, and resources. Each thematic area poses questions about the current COVID-19 SIV, the current and desired state of the routine vaccination SIV, and the gaps between the two. The guide also provides a protocol for implementing CRIISTA, which involves a three-step process: planning and preparation, data collection and synthesis, and consensus-building and decision-making.
