2023

Abstract
The report provides a comprehensive overview of the challenges faced in achieving FP/RH goals, the need for innovations, and the importance of scaling up these innovations. It also presents a suite of resources, including a scale-up guide, toolkits, and templates, as well as scale-up lessons and case studies, to help stakeholders better assess and support the scale-up of FP/RH innovations. The report is organized into four main sections: synthesized key insights, country-level lessons, case studies, and lessons across other factors. The synthesized key insights provide an overview of the FP/RH innovation scale-up, while the country-level lessons provide specific examples from four countries: Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, and India. The case studies highlight the experiences of select FP/RH innovations, and the lessons across other factors provide insights on factors such as innovation type, user behavior, and market dynamics. The report also references the USAID MOMENTUM suite of countries and the Ready, Set, Launch framework, which highlights five inter-connected core components of scale-up: Market & User, Manufacturing & Distribution, Clinical Evidence & Regulatory, Policy, Advocacy & Financing, and Coordination. Overall, the report aims to provide stakeholders with a roadmap for approaching FP/RH innovation scale-up, and to accelerate progress towards achieving FP/RH goals.
