Abstract
The study, titled Seeking Input from Communities, Caregivers, and Frontline Health Workers on the Perceived Barriers and Potential Solutions to Reaching Zero-Dose and Under-Vaccination Children in Kenya: A Photovoice Study, was conducted in three counties: Homa Bay, Vihiga, and Nairobi. The report presents the study's objectives, design, methodology, results, and conclusions. The study used a community-based participatory research approach, involving 182 community members and 14 local health personnel. The report highlights the main barriers to vaccination services, including personal capacity, organizational capacity, and financial capacity, and proposes practical solutions to address these barriers. The solutions focus on increasing personal and financial capacity and improving access to vaccination services. The report concludes that engaging with local communities and using the Photovoice method can help identify barriers and solutions specific to the Kenyan context.
