The document is a research brief titled MIHR Fragility Model Brief dated March 2024.
2024

Abstract
It presents a health-sensitive conceptual model of fragility, which is a critical gap for health programming in fragile settings. The model addresses the relationship between fragility and health outcomes, informing health resilience programming. The brief discusses the characteristics of fragility, including its multidimensional nature, state-society relationships, and variations within a given context. It also proposes a fragility typology, categorizing fragility into extremely high, high, moderate, and low/very low degrees, each with distinct implications for health outcomes and systems. The model is designed to support USAID's MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR) program in improving health conditions in fragile settings.
