Abstract
It explores the concept of the humanitarian-development nexus (HDN) and its application to maternal, newborn, and child health, voluntary family planning, and reproductive health in fragile and conflict-affected settings. The brief provides an overview of the HDN, its key components, and a conceptual framework for health programming in these contexts. It also offers recommendations for operationalizing HDN programming, including strategies for sustainability, complementarity, and capacity strengthening. The document is a product of the MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience project, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
