MOMENTUM COUNTRY AND GLOBAL LEADERSHIP
The document is an implementation brief for the COVID-19 Radio Project in Rwanda, which is part of the MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership project.
2021

Abstract
The project aims to provide targeted maternal, newborn, and child health, family planning, and reproductive health technical and capacity development assistance to countries. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project adapted an existing radio program on nurturing care to reach parents and caregivers in Rwanda with vital health information and prevention measures. The brief describes the project's approach, including the adaptation of the radio program, the use of blended programming, and cross-sectoral collaboration. It also highlights key recommendations for future emergency responses, including maximizing existing assets, utilizing blended programming, building strong relationships and engaging partners, collaborating cross-sectorally, carrying out rapid monitoring and evaluation, and advocating for the prioritization of holistic needs of children aged zero to three years.
