Abstract
The report explores the social norms that lead to child, early, and forced marriage, intimate partner violence, and early adoption of family planning in Ebonyi State, Nigeria. The report aims to understand the social norms driving these behaviors and identify the individuals who enforce these norms. The report is based on a social norms exploration using the Social Norms Exploration Tool and provides findings on the norms that exist and support each behavior, as well as the individuals who approve or disapprove of these behaviors. The findings will inform the design of local partner intervention strategies to prevent and mitigate the consequences of intimate partner violence and child, early, and forced marriage.
