Abstract
The poster discusses the findings of a study that examined the knowledge and skills of community health volunteers (CHVs) in Turkana County, Kenya, to counsel caregivers on infant and young child feeding (IYCF) during and after illness. The study found that CHVs lacked adequate knowledge and skills to provide counseling on IYCF, and the iCCM training manual did not cover this topic adequately. The poster highlights the importance of revising the iCCM training manual and training CHVs to provide effective counseling on IYCF during and after illness.
