Methods Showcase Report: Pre-Learning Events in Kampala, Uganda (May 2023)

The event was organized by USAID Advancing Nutrition and brought together participants from eight countries in the Learning Network for Nutrition Surveillance (LeNNS). The report summarizes the four technical sessions held during the event, which covered topics such as interpreting program performance and biomarker indicators of micronutrient surveys, regulatory monitoring indicators and procedures of large-scale food fortification programs, the Diet Quality Questionnaire (DQQ) tool for population-level diet quality monitoring, and nutrition indicators beyond anemia and micronutrient biomarkers in the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS). The sessions aimed to provide participants with practical skills and knowledge on nutrition surveillance and data interpretation to inform policymaking and programming.
