Abstract
The methods, regression calibration and mean-difference correction, are compared in terms of their ability to improve the accuracy of hemoglobin measurements and reduce bias on HemoCue machines. The study finds that both methods are effective in reducing bias, with the mean-difference correction being an easier method to conduct. The poster concludes that adjustments for systematic bias in hemoglobinometers might be performed using a Bland-Altman mean difference estimation with venous blood hemoglobin measurements.
