Abstract
It was produced under the Nawiri program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA). The report aims to sustainably reduce persistent levels of acute malnutrition among vulnerable populations in Kenya's arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs). The report provides an overview of the study's objectives, methodology, and key findings, including the persistently high levels of acute malnutrition in Marsabit and Isiolo Counties, and the health system and contextual factors contributing to this issue. The report also provides recommendations for programming and implications for addressing acute malnutrition in these regions.
