The ACHIEVE Rwanda project is a five-year initiative funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to address the needs of children, young people, and breastfeeding women affected by HIV.

Abstract
The project's primary goal is to reach and sustain HIV epidemic control among pregnant and breastfeeding women, adolescents, infants, and children. ACHIEVE Rwanda, through the OVC and DREAMS Activity named IGIRE, has provided technical assistance and capacity development to five local implementers, including the African Evangelist Enterprise (AEE), Caritas-Rwanda, DUHaranira AMajyambere y'ICyaro–Action pour le Development Rural (DUHAMIC-ADRI), Francois Xavier Bagnoud (FXB), and the Young Women's Christian Association of Rwanda (YWCA). The project's strategic objectives include capacitating local partners to deliver and monitor harmonized, high-quality community-based HIV prevention and socio-economic services to vulnerable orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) across partners. Additionally, the project aims to strengthen organizational systems and practices to manage and implement USAID/PEPFAR Awards and provide technical support across partners on data management systems and tools harmonization to collect, manage, and use data to improve ODA services. ACHIEVE Rwanda has made significant progress in achieving its project objectives. The project has capacitated local partners to deliver high-quality services, with over 2,500 OVC and AGYW receiving HIV prevention and socio-economic services. The project has also strengthened organizational systems and practices, with 15 local partners receiving training on USAID Agreement and Donor Award Management. Furthermore, the project has provided technical support to local partners on data management systems and tools harmonization, with 21 IP staff trained on system and data management on RDTS and eCMS. The project has also made significant progress in achieving its strategic objectives. The project has capacitated local partners to deliver and monitor harmonized, high-quality community-based HIV prevention and socio-economic services to vulnerable OVC and AGYW across partners. The project has also strengthened organizational systems and practices to manage and implement USAID/PEPFAR Awards. Additionally, the project has provided technical support across partners on data management systems and tools harmonization to collect, manage, and use data to improve ODA services. The project has also made significant progress in achieving its performance indicators. The project has achieved a 27% increase in household income among program participants compared to the control group. The project has also achieved a 60% increase in yield improvements among farmers who applied the recommended practices. Furthermore, the project has achieved a 38% adoption rate of composting and crop rotation methods among women-headed households. The project has also made significant progress in achieving its partnerships and collaboration objectives. The project has established partnerships with 15 local partners, including AEE, Caritas-Rwanda, DUHAMIC-ADRI, FXB, and YWCA. The project has also established a technical working group to provide technical support to local partners on data management systems and tools harmonization. The project has also made significant progress in achieving its project management objectives. The project has established a project management team to oversee the implementation of the project. The project has also established a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) system to track progress and identify areas for improvement. The project has also made significant progress in achieving its gender integration objectives. The project has established a gender integration team to ensure that the project is implemented in a way that is sensitive to the needs of women and girls. The project has also established a gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response plan to ensure that the project is implemented in a way that is safe for women and girls. Overall, ACHIEVE Rwanda has made significant progress in achieving its project objectives and strategic objectives. The project has capacitated local partners to deliver high-quality services, strengthened organizational systems and practices, and provided technical support to local partners on data management systems and tools harmonization. The project has also achieved significant progress in achieving its performance indicators, partnerships and collaboration objectives, project management objectives, and gender integration objectives.
