AID contract no. ANE-0014-C-00-0058-00 with Coopers and Lybrand for technical assistance in enterprise restructuring and privatization to the Yugoslav government

The advisor will be placed in the Secretariat of Energy and Industry for one year. When and if an institution for restructuring and privatization is established at the federal level, the advisor will be transferred to that institution. The advisor will be supported by 30 person-months of short-term TA. The advisor will assist in (1) the privatization process (e.g., defining the legal framework for privatization, establishing privatization agencies, selecting sectors and enterprises for privatization and restructuring, development of capital markets for and disseminating information on privatization) and (2) the restructuring and privatization of individual enterprises.
