Pathfinder will provide support (local currency) for the establishment and operation of up to four new clinics, and will help JAFPP to develop a plan for moving these clinics to self-sufficiency within 3 years. Secondly, to improve clinical services, Pathfinder will support: major in-country training sessions for clinic personnel in reproductive health, contraceptive technology, counseling, nursing, and staff development; annual in-service workshops on quality of care; annual training for physicians and nurses; and mini-workshops on data collection and analysis of continuation rates. Pathfinder may also provide equipment and supplies to the JAFPP clinics if these are critically needed. Thirdly, Pathfinder will provide TA in service delivery standards, clinic-based quality assurance systems, and training systems, as well as in studying clinic statistics to determine the extent and cause of client and method discontinuation and developing a plan to reduce discontinuation rates. Lastly, Pathfinder will support JAFPP"s institutional/management development by funding salaries for additional management personnel, the provision of computer hardware and/or software, and TA for a revised management information system. Pathfinder will also support JAFPP"s strategic planning process and its planning for financial self-sufficiency.
