AID cooperative agreement no. AFR-0934-A-00-5031-00 to AFRICARE to provide support for a program to introduce ORT (oral rehydration therapy) into Chad"s national health care delivery system

Africare will: (1) develop a plan to encourage health workers to use ORT therapy more systematically and to make ORT packets available to the maximum number of Chadian children; (2) develop an educational program to promote ORT via radio and printed materials; (3) supervise village health workers in order to reinforce ORT activities at the community level; (4) assist in organizing short courses for Ministry of Health personnel and other health workers; and (5) administer and coordinate ORT- related activities at all levels.
