Grant is provided under the Matching Grants to PVOs project (9380158) to Esperanca to develop the managerial skills of local health professionals and administrators in Bolivia, Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, and Mozambique by creating a self-replicating program of public health administration training modules and workshops.

Abstract
Activities will begin in Bolivia, and the program developed there will be the model for the other countries. In the first year, Esperanca will develop and deliver in three of Bolivia"s Ministry of Health regions a graduate Masters of Public Health course, composed of six main educational modules (i.e., in planning and financial management) and a series of nine 2-3 day follow-up workshops. In years two, three, and four, respectively, the modules will be adapted for and implemented in Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, and Mozambique.
