Grant is provided under the Management Training and Market Economics Education project to the State University of New York (SUNY) to support its Center for Private Enterprise Development in Budapest, Hungary.

Abstract
The Center will increase its provision of academic economic and business training, TA, consulting, research, private sector information transfer, brokering, and video and print materials. Specific outputs will include (1) 40 management training courses in small business development, management and supervisory techniques, and finance; and (2) a market economics education project involving production of a series of 18 videotapes, supplemented by printed materials, designed for audiences ranging from high school and university students to the business community. The Center will also help develop two MBA programs at Hungarian universities, provide curriculum development assistance to six academic institutions, and provide two Hungarians with U.S. MBA training. Some of the Center"s other undertakings will include informal consulting and/or brokering assistance to 50 organizations, and 6 research projects. The overall plan is to establish the Center as a university-affiliated, self-supporting unit within the Hungarian economy, funded with fees charged for training, consulting, research, brokering, etc.
