AID grant agreement no. 674-0303-G-SS-9062-00 with Leader Exchange Program to enable black South African entrepreneurs to leverage US sourced business knowledge into competitive advantages in South Africa"s mainstream economy

Leader Exchange Program (USSALEP) to provide 48 outstanding black South African entrepreneurs with the opportunity to use U.S.-sourced business knowledge to gain a comparative advantage in the South African economy. These entrepreneurs, each of whom will have a concrete business plan already in mind, will travel to the U.S. to visit companies related to their field of commercial involvement, following individualized itineraries organized by A.I.D./W"s Entrepreneurs International (EI) program. At the host companies, participants will gain technological, marketing, and management skills and know-how through hands-on, on-the-job involvement, and will have opportunities to develop valuable business relationships. A TA component will help returned entrepreneurs launch new or expanded businesses based on the knowledge they have acquired in the United States.
