AID grant letter of agreement to Hermandad de Honduras for support in enhancing the nutritional education capacity and community development of sixteen villages located in southwestern Honduras

The project will focus on small enterprise skills, housing improvement and construction, and the creation of a Nutritional Recuperation Center (NRC). The project"s community development component will provide assistance for activities in shoemaking, bricklaying, housing improvements (300 houses), and construction (30 houses), as well as the manufacturing of children"s clothing and the formation of housing cooperatives. Approximately 1,700 persons will benefit from this component. An NRC will be established to serve some 1,080 malnourished children and to provide nutrition education, coupled with vegetable gardening.
