Grant is provided under the Project Design and Implementation Fund project (3910470) to the Aga Khan Rural Support Program (AKRSP) to develop the institutional and programming capacity of the Sarhad Rural Support Corporation (SRSC), a new indigenous Pakistani PVO, which is going to replicate AKRSP"s approach to community-based rural development in geographic regions of Pakistan in which AKRSP is not active.

Abstract
Focusing on agricultural areas near Charsadda and Kohat in Northwest Frontier Province, SRSC, with AKRSP"s assistance, will: (1) institute sound administrative practices, (2) help to organize approximately 25 village organizations and initiate community savings plans, and (3) working with the most mature of these organizations, implement 4-10 pilot projects to construct small infrastructure such as link roads, irrigation channels, pony tracks, or the like.
