AID grant no. 493-0002-G-00-2374-00 to Health Volunteers Overseas Inc. to improve the quality of rehabilitation services and care in Vietnam

(HVO) to improve the quality of rehabilitation and orthopedic services for victims of war and other traumatic injury at the provincial level in Vietnam. To this end, HVO will (1) provide in-service training to 30 Vietnamese health professionals, particularly those who are faculty members at medical, nursing, and physical therapy schools around the country; (2) provide intensive workshops at three provincial hospitals, along with needed medical or educational supplies; and (3) encourage institutional relationships between at least one medical and one nursing school in the United States and Vietnamese counterparts.
