AID grant no. 497-0336-G-SS-7153-00 to Yayasan Kristen Untuk Kesehatan Umum for a program entitled improvement of integrated nutrition, environmental and health development

Kaders will be trained in such areas as leadership; community organization; communication; community development; community self-survey, monitoring, and evaluation; primary health care; mixed farming; and cooperative activities. A demonstration plot will be established and used by the kaders to educate families about mixed farming as an income generating and nutrition enhancing activity. The kaders will also organize families into cooperatives, which will be eligible for small loans. Environmental activities will include improvements in sanitation, dwelling ventilation, and community health and nutrition services.
