AID grant no. 517-0000-G-00-2014-00 to the Fundacion Economia y Desarrollo, Inc. (FED) for the execution of a base-line study of the impact of economic stabilization and structural adjustment policies on the lowest income groups in the Dominican Republic

(FED) to conduct a baseline study of the impact of economic stabilization and structural adjustment policies on low income groups in the Dominican Republic. FED will: (1) undertake a national expenditure and income sample survey to quantify the prevalence and characteristics of poverty; (2) using sample data, design a poverty profile based on income level and access to basic needs; and (3) based on the poverty profile, divide the poor into urban and rural strata by income decile, using standards proposed by the National Planning Office.
