Grant is provided under the Housing and Urban Programs project (9401008) to the UN Center for Human Settlements (Habitat) to conduct a 3-week course on urban finance and management for 30 senior trainers from national-level training institutions in anglophone eastern and southern Africa.

Abstract
The course, to be conducted in Lilongwe, Malawi, in collaboration with the World Bank, will focus on training methods and techniques pertinent to local government financial management (revenue generation and cost control) and general management (strategic planning, decisionmaking, and problemsolving).
