Abstract
TAF will provide in-country training to 65 judges (both justices and magistrates) from 19 provinces and the National district. The training will cover both substantive and procedural aspects of law, court management, and case flow. In addition, three judicial officials will receive short-term U.S. training in special areas of jurisprudence and will visit U.S. judicial training institutions, such as the California Center for Judicial Education and Research (CJER). The Director of the CJER will travel to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, to assist the Chief Justice in developing a National Institute for Continuing Legal Education and to participate in a national judicial conference.
