AID grant no. AID/OTR-G-1567 to Catholic Relief Services for a program in maternal child health assessment

CRS will select a demonstration population of 220,000 or more children, 0-5 years of age, for activities in 300-550 maternal/child health (MCH) feeding centers. The demonstration will be carried out by 11 teams trained by CRS to implement the growth surveillance system, which will both follow the rate of child growth and determine mothers" commitment to improved child feeding habits. The teams will also help to educate mothers and MCH center personnel on the relationship between feeding habits, growth, and general health and on the proper utilization of P.L. 480 Title II blended foods.
