Matching grant to Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to carry out village-level water and sanitation projects in five Latin American countries (Honduras, Guatemala, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Ecuador).

Abstract

In selecting projects, CRS will pay particular attention to the extent of water-related diseases and of poor water quality or supply, villagers" willingness and ability to contribute, potential environmental impacts, costs, likely change in water usage, capacity for integration with other rural development activities, and most importantly, the extent to which the projects can be integrated with ongoing Food for Peace activities.
