2006

Abstract
And provides information on the national government"s priorities for non formal education. The second part describes the situation of non-formal education in respect to management and teaching and learning. The information from this part has been used by DBE3 to identify the contents of its training modules and other NFE products and related activities. The data collection was conducted by 28 enumerators who were staff of local education and religious affairs offices. The methods of data collection included questionnaires, interviews, and observation. The next part of the report uses the data described above and compares one type of NFE provider, pesantren, with the other types. DBE3 conducted this analysis to determine whether or not pesantren differ from other target NFE providers in ways that programming might have to take into account. At the end of this report, main findings are summarized and their potential implications for the project, and recommendations for DBE3 discussed.
