Abstract
The program was a four-year initiative designed to promote good governance, accountability, and transparency in various sectors. PROGATI was implemented by Millennium Partners under a contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Bangladesh. The program focused on several key areas, including the development of a national anti-corruption strategy, the establishment of a budget analysis and monitoring unit, and the promotion of transparency and accountability in the public sector. PROGATI also worked to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations and the media to promote good governance and anti-corruption efforts. The evaluation team conducted an extensive literature review, consulted with USAID and PROGATI staff, and interviewed stakeholders and beneficiaries. The team also observed PROGATI activities in a field trip to Khulna and organized focus groups and exchanges. The evaluation aimed to assess the impact and lessons learned from PROGATI for consideration in the design of a follow-on anti-corruption program.
