Abstract
The meeting was attended by Hazel Correa, the new Communications Director, and other team members, including Hesca Leslie, Ryan, Lois, Nadine, and Khosi. The discussion centered on quarterly data updates, the Annual Report, and the upcoming Partners' Day event. The team emphasized the importance of ensuring that the content of factsheets, videos, and country pages is of the utmost importance. The team also learned about USAID's in-house printing services in DC. The meeting highlighted several ongoing tasks, including the FY2023 Q4 Materials Update, which was completed with all applicable collateral updated, designed, 508 tagged, and sent to Power Africa on January 25. The team also discussed the Purchase Pass for Africa Green Economy Summit, which was initiated with registration and payment for the delegate's pass. Other tasks included the Update Comms Guide, which was completed with the Comms Guide updated with Hazel Correa's details on January 24. The Short Fuse Info Request: Annual Foreign Tax Report was compiled and sent to Power Africa on January 23. The Enlit 2024 Flyer was designed and sent to Power Africa on January 24. The Update WAEP Fact Sheet was in design with GP Tech, and the Procure pass to Africa Energy Indaba 2024 was in progress. The team also discussed the Renew Agility Services for 2024, which was in progress, and the Payment for Enlit 2024 Sponsorship, which was in progress. The DP graphic for intranet was designed and sent to Power Africa on December 12. The Copy Edit 'Scaling Regional Collaboration: A Milestone in Collaboration' blog was edited and sent to Power Africa on December 13. The Short Fuse Task_Graphic for Empower West Africa Solicitation was designed and sent to Power Africa on December 12. The team also discussed the Social Media Graphics for January, February, and March 2024, which were to be designed as and when instructed by Power Africa. The Social Media Graphic for 40K LinkedIn followers was designed and sent to Power Africa on December 8. The Update Partners Brochure 2024 was 508 tagged and sent to Power Africa on January 24. The Edit "NODEL" Energy Paper was edited and sent back to Power Africa on December 20. The African Energy Live Database Subscriptions Renewal was in progress, and the Support for Enlit Africa 2024 was in progress, with payment for GP Tech staff accommodation and flight bookings completed. The Graphic to Promote Enlit Webinar was designed and sent to Power Africa on November 27. The Purchase Grammarly Business suite was purchased and paid for on November 17. The New Year Graphic was designed and sent to Power Africa on November 13. The Happy Holidays Graphic was designed and sent to Power Africa on November 13. The team also discussed the Update Communications List, which was updated and shared with Power Africa on November 2. The Purchase Power Africa Pins was completed, with 1000 pins produced and handed over to Power Africa staff during the meeting. The Purchase Paper for MOU Signings was completed, with paper purchased and handed over to Power Africa on November 3. The Update Mega Solar Fact Sheet was updated as per Power Africa edits received and resent for review on December 5. The JETP Webpage and Fact Sheet was in progress, with text for the fact sheet shared with Phoebe and Meghan to add their input on December 14. The Adobe Creative Cloud Annual Subscription Renewal was renewed and paid for on November 20. The ESA Announcement Social Media Graphic was designed and sent to Power Africa on November 8. The Happy Holidays Graphic was designed and sent to Power Africa on November 13. The New Year Graphic was designed and sent to Power Africa on November 13. The team also discussed the Sponsor Sierra Leone Video, which was completed, with Facebook and LinkedIn sponsorship completed. The Sponsor Nigeria RFI was in progress, with Power Africa to provide further instructions on how to proceed with this task. The Develop Template for PA Highlights Report was completed, with a graphic designed and sent to Power Africa on October 30. The Support for Partners Day 2024 was in progress, with Hazel adding suggestions to be considered and or implemented in every video production in the future. The Facilitation services, Interview Space, Videographer, and Lanyards purchase were concluded, and GP Tech was sourcing vendors to provide shuttle services for this event. Power Africa will confirm menu options by February 12. The comms team will start a list of distributing labor amongst the traveling staff to DC. The Support for Powering Africa Summit 2024 was in progress, with GP Tech to discuss with Leslie/Alexandra all the possible collateral that would be needed for this event.
