Burundi democracy and governance program

Program to support Burundi"s successful beginning as a democracy.

Abstract

The program consists of a $1.0 million ESF cash transfer for balance of payment support to pay Government of Burundi (GRB) debt owed to multilateral organizations. Funds will be disbursed upon evidence that the new Parliament is operating without hindrance. Complementary training, TA, and institutional strengthening will be provided under Project 6950133 by the United States Information Agency and international and local PVOs and NGOs.
