Abstract
A total of 17 sites were visited and analyzed as part of this initiative. The regions of Niger are characterized by diverse climate conditions, ranging from the arid Sahara Desert in the north to the savannas and grasslands in the south. The project's geographical context is critical in understanding the challenges and opportunities associated with the implementation of various interventions. The regions of Zinder, Tillaberi, and Maradi are known for their agricultural potential, with the majority of the population engaged in subsistence farming. In contrast, the Dosso and Tahoua regions are characterized by a higher concentration of pastoralist communities, with a focus on livestock production. Survey results indicate a significant potential for revenue generation in the regions of focus. The data collected during the site visits and analysis suggests that investments in infrastructure development, agricultural productivity, and market access can yield substantial returns. Engineering results and budgetary analysis are essential components of the project, as they provide a framework for understanding the feasibility and cost implications of various interventions. The engineering results highlight the need for infrastructure development, including the construction of roads, bridges, and irrigation systems. This is critical in facilitating the movement of goods and services, as well as improving access to markets for farmers and pastoralists. The budgetary analysis provides a detailed breakdown of the costs associated with implementing various interventions, including the costs of labor, materials, and equipment. This information is essential in informing investment decisions and ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently.
