Abstract
The project will fund (1) U.S. Master"s training for 14 persons in public health (at least 2 degrees), business administration, public administration, and development economics; (2) short-term training/study tours in the United States for 8-10 persons and in francophone Africa for 20-30 persons in various aspects of health and agricultural management; and (3) at least 16 in-country short courses, seminars, workshops, and colloquia for at least 300 mid- to high-level managers from government agencies and the private sector. The project"s strategy is to train a "critical mass" of key personnel.
