Abstract
The initiative was supported by USAID's Programa de Democracia y Gobernabilidad, implemented by the Centro de Estudios Ambientales y Sociales (CEAMSO). The MGD aimed to reduce the mora judicial by allowing the resolution of cases within the established timeframe and reducing the number of cases in a state of resolution with a vencido plazo. The initiative involved the participation of key actors from the Poder Judicial, including magistrates, magistrates, and functionaries, who received training and support to implement the MGD. The implementation of the MGD in Paraguay involved the development of a plan for sostenibilidad and expansion, which included the establishment of demonstration plots, training programs, and the implementation of the MGD in 16 Juzgados de Primera Instancia en lo Civil y Comercial. The initiative also involved the participation of CEAMSO, which provided technical assistance and support to the Poder Judicial. The MGD was implemented in three Circunscripciones Judiciales: Central, Itapúa, and Alto Paraná. The initiative aimed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the judicial system, reducing the mora judicial and improving access to justice for citizens. The implementation of the MGD was supported by USAID, which provided funding and technical assistance to CEAMSO to implement the program.
