Abstract
The dataset provides information on land users in Tajikistan, including their landholdings, land use practices, and demographic characteristics. The dataset contains 44 variables, including case descriptors such as Case_ID, Region_ID, District_ID, and Jamoat_ID, which provide information on the geographic location of the land users. The dataset also includes variables on land user characteristics, such as Land User Name (LU_Name) and Land User Type (LU_Type), as well as variables on landholdings, including the area of total land, agricultural land, arable land, and perennial crops. The dataset also includes variables on irrigated land, including the overall area of irrigated land, irrigated agricultural land, irrigated arable land, and irrigated perennial crop land. Additionally, the dataset includes variables on land use practices, such as the area of household land, arable land area held by households, and perennial crop area held by households. The dataset provides information on the landholdings and land use practices of over 2,500 land users in Tajikistan, making it a valuable resource for researchers and policymakers interested in understanding the agricultural sector in Tajikistan. The dataset can be used to analyze the distribution of landholdings, land use practices, and demographic characteristics of land users in Tajikistan, as well as to identify trends and patterns in the agricultural sector. The dataset is organized into several categories, including case descriptors, land user characteristics, landholdings, and irrigated land. The dataset also includes variables on land use practices, such as the area of household land, arable land area held by households, and perennial crop area held by households. The dataset provides a comprehensive picture of the agricultural sector in Tajikistan, including the distribution of landholdings, land use practices, and demographic characteristics of land users. The dataset can be used to inform policy and programming decisions related to agricultural development in Tajikistan. For example, the dataset can be used to identify areas where agricultural development programs may be most effective, or to inform the design of programs aimed at improving the livelihoods of land users in Tajikistan. The dataset can also be used to monitor progress towards agricultural development goals and objectives, and to evaluate the effectiveness of agricultural development programs in Tajikistan.
